Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine where the participants tell their readers about an upcoming release they are waiting to read. This week I've picked Faking It by Gabrielle Tozer, the sequel to The Intern which I enjoyed as a fabulous and fun contemporary YA read.
Things are looking up for Josie Browning. Her boyfriend, James, is crazy about her, and she's scored a writing job at indi. Now the pressure is on for Josie to prove she's got what it takes to help plan indi's launch. Plus, she's battling with flatmates, frenemies and confusing feelings for travel writer Alex.
High on the perks at indi, Josie's doing a pretty good job of faking her way in the industry - even though she still hasn't mastered her hair straightener. But when Josie is invited to a media junket, she accidentally sets off a string of lies that threaten to ruin her reputation, love life and career forever.

This is new to me. I hope you enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, and judging from how good the first book was this one is going to be even better!
DeleteI CANNOT WAIT FOR FAKING IT!! Gabrielle Tozer is so lovely, and I ADORED The Intern, so hopefully it will be amaaaazing (I'm sure it will).
ReplyDeleteMe too! Gabrielle Tozer is certainly a nice person and I can't wait to see what she has created in this book.
DeleteFaking It, yes! I love the mint colour, too.
ReplyDeleteIt does look really fresh and makes the cover pop :) I think whether the purple or mint green got picked it would have looked great, but this one just makes it even better!
DeleteI've had The Intern on my shelves for what feels like forever, I'd totally forgot that I bought a copy. I have to move it up my list. I didn't realise it was YA, I thought it was a fluffy adult. Ooh, now I want to read it even more. Thanks for reminding me poppet, will grab it off my shelf next week <3
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it Kelly, it is light and fluffy - but sometimes that's just the thing to refresh a reading schedule!
DeleteI haven't had the chance to read The Intern yet, but I do like the sound of it as a lighter YA Devil vs Prada! I did enjoy the movie but that book was kind of boring to me. Thanks for the spotlight!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't read The Devil Wears Prada, but saw the movie which I enjoyed too. Hope you get around to reading The Intern Jeann :)
