Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish. This week I'm sharing the top ten books I have on my summer TBR.
1. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alive Saenz
This is a contemporary which I have high expectations for, but I can't wait to read it in the summer holidays!

2. Faking It by Gabrielle Tozer
I loved The Intern so I'm looking forward to see what Josie gets up to in this sequel.

3. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Summer is a great time for contemporaries, so I couldn't miss putting this Huntley Fitzpatrick gem on the list.
4. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
I just recently got this from the library and will hopefully get to it soon!
5. Gilt by Katherine Longshore
Historical fiction is another one of my favourite genres, so I'm definitely going to try and read this one.
6. Pivot Point by Kasie West
I bought a copy of this ages ago, so the summer holidays is the perfect time to finally get to it.
7. Every Breath by Ellie Marney
This sounds like it has a fantastic mystery and has received high praise from other Aussie bloggers!
8. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
With the word 'summer' already in the title, I'm ready to give this book a good chance.
9. Between the Lives by Jessica Shirvington
I loved the 'Disruption' series so I'm eager to read more from Jessica Shirvington.
10. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
A whimsical adventure back to the story of Peter Pan sounds like a great idea for a summer read.
Over to you - what books do you want to read on your summer/winter TBR?
Clearly you are going to have the BEST summer ever!! Ari and Dante - awesome. My Life Next Door - awesome. Pivot Point - awesome. Every Breath - awesome. Between the Lives - awesome.
ReplyDeleteI also want to reading Faking It!!
That's good news! I'm even more excited to read those ones now - and Faking It looks really promising too :)
DeleteOooh, lots of awesome books you've picked out here. Let's see, I absolutely LOVED Aristotle & Dante, one of my favourite books of the year, and Between the Lives explored a really interesting concept and was done well. I really liked Pivot Point as well, as long as you expect it to be a contemporary.
ReplyDeleteHeaps that I still want to read too, like Tiger Lily, Every Breath, and The 5th Wave.
Overall, a really great list Genie!
I've heard so many people saying they loved Aristotle and Dante, so it's definitely going to be one of the first ones I get to. Thanks for letting me know about Pivot Point being more on the contemporary side as well since I wouldn't have thought it just from the description.
DeleteI got excited and read My Life Next Door already which truly epitomised summer. I also have Second Chance Summer and I'm hoping that that one's a hit for me because I'm such a weak contemporary reader, to be honest. Fantastic list, Eugenia! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess :) My Life Next Door is another one I am *really* looking forward to since I love books with that true summery vibe that capture the season perfectly!
DeleteMy LIfe Next Door and Second Chance Summer are AMAZING, I love them both so much and I hope you enjoy them :) Aristotle and Dante is on my TBR (but not my TTT for this week) and I just borrowed Every Breath from the library, it sounds so good! Great list :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up Bernadette! I'm looking forward to reading all of these and see how they go :)
DeleteI miss summer, I want to be on the other side of the world right now :P Tiger Lily is one of my favorites, I hope you like it as much as I did. And My Life Next Door is supposed to be really good!
ReplyDeleteTiger Lily has especially intrigued me, so it's nice to hear someone say that they really liked it :) Thanks for stopping by Alise!
DeleteYES. EVERY BREATH. YES, YES, YES. Also, I can't wait for you to read My Life Next Door and Aristotle and Dante - they were both great. :) I also really enjoyed Pivot Point and The 5th Wave. Though, looking back now at The 5th Wave, I notice more flaws unfortunately. I want to read The Intern, Gilt, Second Chance Summer, Between the Lives and Tiger Lily.
ReplyDeleteFantastic list, Eugenia, I hope you enjoy all of these books. :)
Thanks Ebony :) It seems I've picked a few popular titles which have gotten a lot of praise, which makes me even more excited to pick them up soon!
