Saturday, 8 November 2014

There are so many fantastic upcoming releases to look forward to in the world of YA, and many of them have beautiful covers too! For this edition of cover love, I've picked The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski!

Book two of the dazzling Winner's Trilogy is a fight to the death as Kestrel risks betrayal of country for love.

The engagement of Lady Kestrel to Valoria’s crown prince means one celebration after another. But to Kestrel it means living in a cage of her own making. As the wedding approaches, she aches to tell Arin the truth about her engagement…if she could only trust him. Yet can she even trust herself? For—unknown to Arin—Kestrel is becoming a skilled practitioner of deceit: an anonymous spy passing information to Herran, and close to uncovering a shocking secret.

As Arin enlists dangerous allies in the struggle to keep his country’s freedom, he can’t fight the suspicion that Kestrel knows more than she shows. In the end, it might not be a dagger in the dark that cuts him open, but the truth. And when that happens, Kestrel and Arin learn just how much their crimes will cost them.

  1. Oh my gosh, I like the cover but I think I preferred the first one, it would look brilliant next to the Winner's Curse though! I can't wait until the next installment <3

    1. I agree, I think The Winner's Curse is still my favourite out of the two, but like you said I'm sure they'll look great together!

  2. I don't fangirl often over books, but The Winner's Curse! Wasn't it phenomenal, reminded me of the same feeling I had after reading These Broken Stars. This one could have had a plain brown cover, or even just stapled together and I'd still be as thrilled to get my hands on a copy. Can't wait until it's released. Thanks for sharing Eugenia <3
