Welcome to Genie in a Book! Here you'll find reviews, discussions, author interviews and giveaways on YA titles, as well as occasionally some other genres as well. If you're looking for your next read, like engaging in bookish discussions or are just looking for a novel escape, then you're in the right place.

I'm passionate about supporting Australian writers and am a moderator for the Australian YA Bloggers and Readers group. It's fantastic to have a community of readers who rally behind local talent while also enjoying books from authors around the globe.

My bookshelf is ever-expanding, but I still believe that having too many books will never really be a problem (once I find the time to read them all of course). My favourite bookish quote is that ‘A reader lives a thousand lives’, because in enjoying a novel we’re not simply reading words on a page, but experiencing something special.
