Hi everyone! So it's officially one week to go until the HSC starts...which is both nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time, because once my three weeks of exams are over that's it! I can see my TBR pile getting smaller a lot quicker once that happens.
*Reading Right Now*
This is good, but quite strange as well. Patrick Ness's novels always seem to have that uniqueness to them though so I'm interested to see what direction it takes.

*I'm going on hiatus*
Because of my finals coming up I'll be taking a mini-hiatus from now until 29th October. There may be some posts up here and there which I've scheduled, but other than that I'll be focused on my studies and ready to come back with a whole new wealth of posts later this month!
Ooh! After Alice looks so awesome. Anything that mentions wonderland always appeals to me :)
ReplyDeleteAnd OH MY GOSH GOOD LUCK WITH THE HSC!!! You aren't going to know what to do with yourself once it's over, so get that TBR pile nice and high.
It does indeed! I can't wait to start it (probably after HSC along with all of my other 'really must read' books). Thanks Cassie!
DeleteGood luck with your exams giiirrlll! I remember my college days and I miss them and I don't as well so enjoy this time even though it's super stressful. ;) I can't wait till you come back and tell us all about your awesome news and reviews! ♡
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Keionda! I'm looking forward to them being over and coming back with more frequent posts :)
DeleteGood luck with HSC and exams!! OMG I HOPE YOU DO REALLY WELL. And that the stress doesn't swallow you. ;) My sister is going in for Year 11 exams this week and is freaking out and IT'S ONLY YEAR 11 OMG. I dread being around her next year. XD hehe Aaaanyway. Have fun studying! (Har, har har...)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cait! Good luck to your sister as well for her exams, I'm sure she'll do amazingly and get through it :)
DeleteGOOD LUCK WITH HSC EUGENIAAAAAAA. WE CAN DO THIS. ONLY A FEW MORE WEEKS.
ReplyDeleteThat's terrifying. But anyway, I know you'll do super-well :D
WE CAN! Hopefully we both reach our goals and do well :)
DeleteBest of luck with your studies! It will all turn out well in the end, I'm sure - though I'm not exactly sure what HSC is so... But taking a break will let you focus without stressing so all the best.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your well-wishes Rachel, I hope it all works out :) The HSC is basically your final exams of high school here in Australia which gives you a mark that goes into determining what university course you get into.
DeleteI completely understand why you feel the need for a temporary hiatus. Good luck on your finals!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cynthia, I'm looking forward to being back and blogging away properly next month :)
DeleteI've been wanting to read a Patrick Ness novel since they sound so interesting! Any recommendations for which I should start with?
ReplyDelete~Sara
Sincerely, Sara
I've heard his 'Chaos Walking' series is really good so maybe start with that? :)
DeleteHow is The Rest of Us Live Here? I really want to read that, though people have recommended me to read Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking series instead of this one to start with his works. Hmm. I also have After Alice in by TBR. I love Alice in Wonderland, so... let's say I'm intrigued.
ReplyDeleteVane at Books With Chemistry
It was a pretty good read, though overall not as mindblowing as I was hoping for - I'm not really sure Patrick Ness novels are for me, at least this one. I do want to check out the Chaos Walking series though so I might like that better! Thanks for stopping by Vane :)
DeleteBest of luck for your final exams Genie! I know you'll do well and the mini hiatus is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jeann! <3

ReplyDeleteRachel @ A Perfection Called Books
Thanks Rachel :)
DeleteThis has only just shown up in my feed, so you must be well into exams now. Good luck, take time to relax and look forward to seeing you back once you're done :)
ReplyDeleteI've started and am looking forward to them being over! At least it's not too long to go now. Thanks for your kind words Nicole :)
DeleteGood luck with your exams, I hope they go well for you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Wattle!
DeleteI'm so intrigued by that Patrick Ness book. I tried reading one of this others, and it just did NOT work for me. So I'm a little hesitant now... I'm not sure his writing style is for me. But I'll probably end up giving that one a try because it sounds so good!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your finals!! See you when you get back! :)
This one wasn't 100% for me either to be honest, but it still had it's merits. I'll be back with a review very soon :)
