Gabrielle Tozer has done it again with this hilarious, enjoyable and perfect piece of YA contemporary which is just as good, if not better than its predecessor. If you haven't read The Intern yet, what are you waiting for!?

Thank you to the lovely Simon and Schuster Australia for this review copy!

  • Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson - I really enjoyed Since You've Been Gone and this one looks like a cute contemporary perfect for holiday reading.

*Movie Reactions*

Confession: No I hadn't read the book before seeing the movie, but it did make for a good film to watch on a Friday night. In all, as expected it had an emotional storyline and at the end there was a twist that although I should have seen coming, I didn't. By the final scenes I was shedding a few tears, and while I'm not sure it's something I would take the time to re-watch, I still really enjoyed it.

*Sneak Peek at Next Week*

I'll be posting my review for Faking It by Gabrielle Tozer who's also sharing a confessional post, a review and giveaway for True Calling by Siobhan Davis and more!

  7. I need All the Bright Places. I NEED IT. I really hope you enjoy it, Eugenia! I'm glad you enjoyed Faking It...I still have to read The Intern! I really enjoyed Matson's Since You've Been Gone, and I've heard great things about Amy & Roger's, so that's one I definitely need to get onto...Safe Haven is a movie I want to see, too. I always enjoy Nicholas Sparks book-to-movie adaptations, though I get the feeling that they're all SO SIMILAR now that I've seen a few. The Notebook will always be my favourite though - Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are just wonderful in that one.

    1. There's been a lot of excitement around All the Bright Places so I'm glad to say that it's really good! YES you need to read The Intern, it's cute and funny and Josie the main character is so relatable! I definitely agree with Nicholas Sparks movie adaptations - I haven't read all of his books but yes, the movies all seem to follow sort of the same storyline. The Notebook is my favourite as well :)
