Loony Blurbs (4)

Loony Blurbs is a meme running on every month created by Emily @ The Loony Teen Writer where bloggers create book blurbs only based on the titles! As you can guess, the possibilities are endless. So without further ado, here is what I have created for this week's books:

the trouble with destinyThe Trouble With Destiny by Lauren Morrill

'You can't change the past, but you can change your future.'

At least that's what everybody seemed to be telling Destiny these days. How ironic, she thought to herself - the girl had finally lived up to her name the day she made the biggest mistake of her life which seemed bound to happen. Trusting Trent Nicholson was always a risk. One she should never have taken. But now, now - she was going to try and put her life right once and for all.

Mosquitoland by David Arnold

Death by mosquitos isn't exactly the best way to go. Yet, when Harry's small town gets overrun with the little critters carrying a deadly virus then it seems that is a dire possibility. Bug spray has been flying off the shelves since the epidemic hit, and it's survival of the fittest where wearing repellent is the only way to survive.

Little does everyone know....Harry was the one who started the whole thing.

inherit midnight 2

Inherit Midnight by Kae Myers

Once upon a time, there were three sisters: Dawn, Noon, and Midnight. Each was gifted reign over the universe in an alternating cycle to please the Time Lords. But these sisters got greedy, and when Midnight suddenly demands more power from the depths of her dark soul, the other two have to stop her from disturbing the fabric of time before it is too late.

This is a story you won't want to wait for.

where the staircase endsWhere the Staircase Ends by Stacey Stokes

'You're on a journey Ella, you can't expect to get better right away. All things take time. Be patient.'

Ella Surrey just wanted life to go back to normal after the car accident that changed her life forever. Ever since then even doing the simplest of tasks was an uphill battle, with her climbing further and further up the staircase of her existence without reaching her healthy self. There had been trips and falls, but now she was more determined than ever to be normal again.

all fall downAll Fall Down  by Ally Carter

A mystery disease has hit the peaceful city of Prenvale, and people are dropping like flies. Althea lives in the poorest section of the town, and so she knows that her whole family it at even more risk. She knows that they have to escape before the virus reaches them, but will she be able to make it in time?

And is that cough she just heard from her brother something to worry about?

the glass arrowThe Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons

'Iron might be able to help, but it might not save the King - we need glass.' Following the most bloody battle the Kingdom of Lirehill had ever seen, Prince Maxim may have won, but his father is on the brink of losing his life.

To save him from the poisonous arrow he was hit by, Maxim has to find glass from the lost city of Heron - one which many say holds only one arrow made of the precious substance. Maxim is forced to undertake a journey to save the King and his country which holds far more challenges than he could have anticipated.

a darker shade of magicA Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Esmerelda was always the good witch in her family. She could recite any spell on demand, and used her powers for good. Until...

After she goes to visit the Grand Witch one day in a special meeting, she comes back...different. Nobody can quite put their finger on it, but Esmerelda may have changed for the worse. Suddenly, it seems she possesses a darker shade of magic than anyone could have thought existed.
