Thanks to Five Mile Press for these review copies
  • Breakdown by Sarah Mussi - This sounds like a gritty dystopian, so I'm looking forward to it.
  • Shiver the Whole Night Through by Darragh McManus - Creepy cover? Tick. Possible murder mystery? Tick. I'm intrigued.

This ARC thanks to Pan Macmillan Australia
  • Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven - I've read a few contemporary novels based on Romeo and Juliet, but this one looks like a fun read.

  • The Protected by Claire Zorn - Cait from Notebook sisters especially recommended this, so I borrowed it from the library.
  • Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld - This has also been making waves in the Aussie blogging community, so I'm curious to see whether I'll love it.
  • The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey - This has been on my TBR for aaages so I finally borrowed it!

  • A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray - I read the ARC version of this but I had to have the finished one with that spectacular cover!

  • Shattered by Teri Terry - I read this when I borrowed it from the library, but I bought a copy at Kinokuniya's 20% of sale and so now I completed the set - YAY!

  • Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins - I also got this at Kinokuniya, and even though it is a different size to the other two, I'm glad I have the complete series now so I can read Lola and Isla straight after each other if I want to.

*Other news*

I had my piano exam this week which was nerve-wracking BUT I'm glad that it's done now and I can explore some new pieces. Also - I'm starting some Christmas shopping and am looking for good YA  contemporary audio books. If you have any recommendations, let me know!

  1. WOW SO MANY AWESOME BOOKS. I totally told Cait to read The Protected. And it's amazing, by the way :D Oooh, These Broken Stars!! And your completed set of Anna, Lola and Isla is verrrry pretty :)

    1. I guess I have you to thank for that recommendation then - it's a great chain-reaction effect :)

  2. Great haul! My Isla is smaller than my Anna and Lola and it drives me a little crazy when I see them on the shelves... I'm a bit finnicky like that!

    1. It is going to be a bit annoying, just because it is nicer to have them all match completely, but I'm sure the words outside make up for it!

  3. Great collection! I finished ARC of Bad Romeo last week and it was amazing. Hope you will love it as much as I did when you get to reading it :)

  4. I hope you did well in your piano exam!! Sounds scary. :)

Also, enjoy These Broken Stars--that book was SO GREAT. I usually find it pretty rare that I actually like YA sci fi, but I thought this one was FANTASTIC. I'm really looking forward to This Shattered World, too. From the reviews I've been reading of it, it's going to be just as good. :)

  5. AW CONGRATS ON YOUR PIANO EXAM! What grade are you now?

I hope you enjoy These Broken Stars. It was a great read, and the cover is just stunning, right? I can't wait to pick up Dangerous Boys. I was meant to go straight into it following Dangerous Girls but so many other reads just got in the way!
