Hi everyone and welcome to my weekly blog feature to recap the week with bookish news and what to expect coming up! So without further ado...

*Reading Right Now*

I was meant to have finished this last month, but with all the other things going on I just couldn't get to it - until now!

Not only is Rachael Craw truly one of the nicest authors out there who really connects with her readers, but her novel is pretty amazing too if you ask me!

Thank you to HarperCollins Australia and Allen and Unwin for sending me these books for review!

  • Faking It by Gabrielle Tozer - I LOVED 'The Intern' so I can't wait to read this sequel and see what shenanigans Josie Browning is involved in this time around!
  • The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart - 'We Were Liars' is one of my top reads of this year, and I can't wait to read this book which the author wrote before that.

Pretty much every time I go to the library, I end up borrowing at least three things, and so this time I seem to have gone down the historical-fiction route. I'm especially looking forward to The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth since I really enjoyed 'Bitter Greens'. I also borrowed 'American Hustle' since I didn't get a chance to see it at the movies, and I'm saving it for after exams are over.

*Movie Reactions*

I actually watched 22 Jump Street at the movies this year which was hilarious, and so I thought I'd better go back and watch 21 on DVD - and so I did. There are so many links between the two! I like films that are have a deep message, that are YA adaptations and that have historical themes, but sometimes it's nice to have a laugh with something like this too.

*Other news*

While reading and blogging are my passions, it's also time to prioritise. This week is the BIG ONE. Four HSC assessments in three days. So if I'm not blogging as much or or tweeting etc., you know why! (I'll probably be in my study cave drowning in notes).

  1. Ohhh, good luck with all your assessments. SOUNDS TERRIFYING!
I want to read The Disreputable History etc. (lol I'm too lazy for that whole title) because of how much I adored We Were Liars. Hopefully I can find it at the library sometimes soon. ;-) Faking It has a gorgeous cover! I love that minimalism style. :))
Spark is awesome but RACHAEL IS AWESOMER. I'm just blown away by how nice she is on twitter and everything. I'm dyyying for book 2.

  7. Good luck with the HSC, I remember how daunting year 12 was but it certainly has its perks as well! I'm sure you'll do amazingly well. :)
Yaaay, I absolutely LOVE All Our Yesterdays, I hope you do too!! I didn't like The Intern all that much since I study/work in media, so the story didn;t sit well with me. I hope Faking It is much better and that you love it!

    1. Thanks Joy <3 I can see how The Intern probably isn't a realistic interpretation of the media world as you see it, which could take away from its glamour, but for me I'm definitely enjoying the fun side of it and am looking forward to Faking It! Hope you like that one too :)
