This anthology seriously deserves ALL THE STARS. It really showcased speculative fiction at its best in both written and graphic form. Watch out for my review coming tomorrow!

- A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - I am SO EXCITED TO READ THIS!!! That is all.
- Havoc by Jane Higgins - I haven't read the first book in this series, but I'm still interested to see if it makes a good dystopian.
*Other News*
It was nice to take a break from studying by going out for dinner at a Teppanyaki restaurant for my friend's birthday. Who knew having food being thrown at you would be so much fun!? Anyway, schools back on and in full swing, and I'm inundated with work to do already, so things might be a bit quieter on the blog for a while.

How has your week been?
I hope you're enjoying the Veronica Mars books :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm Wild Reckless sounds like it'll be a good one, guess I'm adding that to my wishlist!
Good luck with school starting again (such a joy, isn't it?)
- Wattle @ Whimsical Nature
I am so far! I can't wait to read Wild Reckless, it sounds fantastic and Ginger Scott is such a talented author. Thanks for stopping by Wattle :)
DeleteAhhhh school again. This is the big year, they keep telling us :P BUT YAY ACOTAR :D :D :D I'm starting it right now - so much for homework!
ReplyDeleteYep, it is, but all we can do is the best we can and then rejoice when it's over! I can't wait to start it, looking forward to seeing what you think :)
DeleteEat the Sky, Drink the Ocean sounds like an amazing anthology, and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. AHHH! A Court of Thorns and Roses! I love the mask that came with it; it's so cool when publicists send extra swag along. Good luck with school this year. I'm about halfway through my school year.
ReplyDeleteIt is Ana, I'd definitely recommend it! Thanks Ana, best wishes for the rest of your school year :)
DeleteACOTAR! I haven't read it, to be honest but I've heard SO MUCH GOOD over it! Why not get excited, right?!
ReplyDeleteMy week has been boring tbh. I started second semester, which is both good and bad. I also got sick which isn't so good so I'm classifying this week as just uneventful.
Same here Nova - it looks fantastic! Oh hope you get better soon :)
DeleteI hope school treats you well! Make sure you make some me time for yourself lovely xx
ReplyDeleteYESSS ACOTAR!!! I'm eyeing it off right now, I just need to finish off my currently reading before I can drop everything and jump straight into it. I don't even care it's published all the way in May. I need to read it now!!!! :P Hope you have a lovely week xx
Thanks Joy, I'm definitely remembering that balance is key! I'm going to start ACOTAR ASAP!
DeleteUgh, Havoc is a sequel?!! Goodreads didn't say. NOW I'M SUNK. I wonder if my library has The Bridge then...*trots off to see* But yes, hehe, I have Havoc and ACOTAR too. I'm REALLY excited for ACTAR (haa, just a little) and I hope Havoc is excellent. It's not so huge, so I'll probably try reading it this week. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know for sure either until I noticed that they had the same characters. Here's to hoping we both enjoy it Cait :)
DeleteWait what Havoc is a sequel??? WHAAAAAAAT. Okay, now I need to try and find this book one now. And yay for VMars! It's truly the best TV series and the books are pretttttty promising.
ReplyDeleteApparently so - though I didn't expect it either! I really need to watch the TV series :)
DeleteOoh, I am very curious about that anthology. Usually I am not quite fond of them . . . but how can I resist this one? And how gorgeous is that cover? I will definitely be checking that one out. I hope all is going well with school. :)
ReplyDeleteThis anthology is definitely one worth checking out - I've read a few 'meh' ones before, but Eat the Sky, Drink The Ocean truly delivered! Thanks for visiting Kara :)
DeleteAhhh ACOTAR was amazing, I hope you enjoy it too!! Can't wait to read your thoughts. I want to watch the Veronica Mars tv show so bad... Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear Rachel - I've heard all good things! Hope you have a lovely week :)
DeleteGood luck with starting back at school, Eugenia! I hope ACOTAR lives up to your expectations. :) Eat in the Sky, Drink the Ocean isn't something I'd usually go for, being an anthology and all, but you've got me intrigued.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ebony, me too - it so good and I'm so excited to start it!
